Mr. Sherrod has represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases for more than 30 years.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA – The Douglasville personal injury law firm of Sherrod & Bernard, P.C., is pleased to announce that one of its founding attorneys, John W. Sherrod, has been selected for inclusion on the Georgia Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars® lists for 2020.
Super Lawyers, a service of the Thomson Reuters Legal Division based in Eagan, Minnesota, chooses only five percent of the lawyers in the state each year for recognition on its Super Lawyers list. The Rising Stars list is even more exclusive, with less than 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers receiving recognition.
The service bases its selection on a rigorous multi-phase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by an attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
“The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys,” Super Lawyers states.
Mr. Sherrod is a Founding Partner of Sherrod & Bernard, P.C., who has protected the rights of injury victims and their families in Georgia for more than 30 years. In addition to representing plaintiffs in cases involving accidents, defective products and medical malpractice, he also assists clients in workers’ compensation cases.
A native of Marietta, Georgia, Mr. Sherrod graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1984 and earned his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, graduating at the top of his class in 1987. He joined forces with attorney Kenneth R. Bernard Jr. to establish Sherrod & Bernard, P.C., in 1992.
